Probeli AI
For e-commerce

See which shops AI recommends to your shoppers.

Shoppers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity for the best product for a need or a budget. Probeli AI asks those questions every day, shows which shops and review pages are named, and checks that AI can read your product pages.

7-day free trial, card required · 4 AI platforms, asked daily

Insights with Webflow as the example brand: seven pages AI engines cite for its prompts that feature competitors but not Webflow, led by a top-priority review page on techradar.com cited by all four engines for five prompts; two are in progress and three completed, one of them automatically after the page started mentioning Webflow.

Why it's hard

The shortlist comes from an assistant now.

A shopper describes a need and a budget and gets a handful of products back. Review sites, roundups and product pages decide which ones make it.

Guessing

Asking a chatbot about your products once in a while.

  • No record of what was said
  • Roundups that list other shops
  • Prices AI can't see
  • Unknown which page it used

A hunch, not a number you can follow.

How we measure
  • ChatGPT
  • Gemini
  • Google AI Mode
  • Perplexity

The websites AI engines cited most for Webflow's prompts in 30 days (Webflow as the example brand), led by reddit.com in 468 answers, Wix's site in 344 and g2.com in 301, with Webflow's own site in 262, and the 64 cited pages that mention Webflow by type: 21 brand websites, 19 tech and other sites, 16 social and 8 news.

The pages AI reads

Review sites, marketplaces and shops cited in your answers, ranked.

Competitor ranking with Webflow as the example brand over 30 days: Wix leads with 42% visibility and an average position of 1.7, Webflow is second with 37% and 2.1, followed by Framer, Squarespace, WordPress.com and Hostinger; two untracked brands AI keeps mentioning are suggested.

Who gets named first

Your shop and its rivals, ranked by visibility.

  • Direct and indirect

Named in the answer, or on a review page the answer cites.

  • Visibility over time

  • Weekly report

Your visibility and the competitor that moved most, by email.

3. Roundups

Find the roundups that skip your shop.

Best-of lists and reviews feed the products AI picks. Get mentioned shows the pages cited for your prompts that name competitors but not you, most useful first.

One page, what to do

Which competitors it names, which platforms cite it and the next steps.

Wix and Squarespace are featured on techradar.com. Contact the author or site owner with a concrete reason to add Webflow (a missing option, fresh data, a better example) instead of a generic link request.

A page worth your time

Picked from the pages cited for most of your prompts.

  • Ranked by priority

Pages cited for more of your prompts, on more platforms, come first.

  • Marked done when you're named

When a page starts naming you, its item is marked done.

  • List or board

Work through pages as a list or on a board: to review, in progress, completed.

4. Buying guides

Articles for the questions behind a purchase.

Listicles, reviews, comparisons and how-tos, researched from the top results and your own pages. Each draft cites its sources and waits for your review, then goes to your Shopify blog or any other site.

A scored draft

Search, structure and trust checks, before anyone reads it.

The content calendar of Webflow as the example brand: this month in month view with an article planned every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the earlier ones published or ready as drafts, and the Autopilot card on, writing 3 drafts a week for WordPress and showing how many of the month's articles it uses.

A steady plan

Topics placed on the days you publish.

  • Links to your own pages

New articles link your own guides and posts where they fit.

  • Shopify blog

Articles on your store's blog, with tags, author and cover image.

  • You approve first

Drafts by default. Auto-publish is only for Autopilot, and only if you turn it on.

5. Product pages

Make your product pages readable to AI.

The free AI site audit runs 18 checks and adds shop checks once it sees you sell online. It looks for Product markup with offers, prices in the HTML, review markup and your shipping and returns pages.

See the AI site audit

The AI site audit for webflow.com as the example site: a score of 94 out of 100, rated Excellent and up 6 since the last audit, with 16 of 18 checks passed and nothing urgent; AI crawlers are allowed, there are no bot challenges and content is visible in the HTML, while structured data is the one high-priority fix.

Fixes by priority

What to change first, with why it matters and how to do it.

  • Product markup
  • Visible prices

Checks for shops

Added when the audit detects a store. You can correct the category.

  • Prices in the HTML

A price that appears only after JavaScript runs is invisible to AI crawlers.

  • Your pages, scored

Each page gets a score for AI citations and Google, and what to fix first.

  • Refresh suggestions

A new title, sections and facts for a page, before and after. You apply them yourself.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT myself?

Asking yourself shows one answer from one engine on one day, and AI answers change every time. Probeli AI asks the same prompts on 4 AI engines every day and turns the answers into trends you can compare with your competitors.

What does the AI site audit check?

The AI site audit runs 18 checks of how easily AI search engines and agents can crawl, read and use your website.

The checks come in three groups: content and structure (semantic HTML, titles, structured data), discovery and crawlability (robots.txt access for crawlers like OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot, sitemaps and llms.txt, bot challenges, JavaScript-only content) and developer and agent readiness.

The audit also works out what kind of site you have (an online shop, a local business, a SaaS product, a publisher or blog) and whether it covers a sensitive topic such as money, health or the law, from your business brief and the pages it reads. It then adds the checks that matter for that kind of site, such as product markup and visible prices for a shop, your address, phone and opening hours for a local business, a pricing page and docs for software, named authors and dates for a publisher, and expert authors, sources and disclaimers for sensitive topics. Technical checks look at page weight and render-blocking files, the mobile viewport, language versions (hreflang), redirect chains and conflicting canonical links. An owner or admin can correct the detected category at any time.

You get a score out of 100 for the core checks, and one list of fixes ranked by how much each helps your kind of site, each with why it matters and step-by-step instructions. The extra checks read only the pages the audit already fetches, so they don't add requests to your site.

Which sites can Probeli AI publish to?

WordPress (your own site or WordPress.com), Webflow, Shopify and Wix: connect your site once in the workspace settings and publish an article from the editor. A webhook sends finished articles to any other system you run.

Anything else works by hand: copy an article as HTML or Markdown, download it, or export every article at once as a zip file.

Can Probeli improve the posts and pages I already have?

Yes. Your pages (under Optimize) lists the posts and pages of your own website: the ones your sitemap lists and, once Search Console is connected, the ones Google shows. Articles Probeli wrote for you are left out, since they already have their own refresh. "Scan pages" reads up to 25 of them, the way AI crawlers do.

Each page gets a free report: a score for AI citations and SEO with the checks behind it (does it answer first, are its headings questions people ask, does it use lists and tables, structured data, a visible date, text that shows without JavaScript, a good title and description, internal links), how often AI answers cite it, its Google clicks and impressions, the prompts it should win and the pages AI cites instead. The article checks apply to articles only: a contact, policy, product or listing page isn't asked for more words, question headings or a date, and checks that don't apply leave its score. The fixes come in order, each saying whether a suggestion can cover it or you do it on your site. An address that now redirects to another page of your site shows where it goes instead: that page has the report.

"Get suggestions" reads the page again, keeps only its article (no menus, related posts, comments or product grids) and suggests what to change: a new title or meta description, up to three rewritten sections, two sections to add and five outdated facts. Each one shows the text before and after. Copy the new text into your site yourself, then mark it done or dismiss it: Probeli never changes your live page. "Read again" spots the suggestions you've applied.

Suggestions for a page use one refresh, never an article: 5 a month on Grow, 10 on Pro, 100 on Scale, and 3 during the free trial. Track has the reports but no suggestions. One that finds nothing to change doesn't count. A page can get new suggestions once a day.

Which country and language are the questions asked in?

You pick your market when you set up a workspace: English, French, German or Spanish, and the country your customers are in. Probeli AI writes the prompts it suggests in that language and asks every prompt from that country, with that language setting. Perplexity takes only the country, so it answers in the language the prompt is written in.

Most countries are available. If you search for one our data provider doesn't cover yet, Probeli AI says so, and a territory such as Puerto Rico is asked from the country it belongs to.

For a local business you can also name a city: answers are still asked from the country you picked, and the suggested prompts name the city. For a business that sells worldwide, you choose the country answers are asked from. Each answer shows where it was asked from.

Owners and admins can change the market in Settings, and new answers use it from the next run. Older answers keep the market they were asked in, and your prompts stay as written. Workspaces set up before you could pick a market are asked from the United States in English, and their Overview asks an owner or admin to confirm or change that.

The Probeli AI app and its emails are available in English, German, Spanish and French, and dates show in your own time zone.
