## Set up in *three steps.*

Owners and admins connect the site in Settings › Publishing.

1. ### Connect your blog
In Wix's API Keys Manager, create a key with the Manage Blog permission, then enter it with your site ID from the dashboard's address bar.
2. ### Choose draft or live
Keep each article as a draft you publish with one click, or publish the autopilot's articles automatically once they pass the quality check.
3. ### Turn on the autopilot
Plan articles on the calendar. The autopilot writes them and, if you chose it, publishes them to Wix on their date.

## What gets *sent.*

Each article becomes one blog post, created once and updated after that.

- ### Title and body
The article converted to Wix's rich content, with its headings, links, tables and FAQ.
- ### Images
The images in the article, imported by Wix's converter.
- ### Slug
The article's slug, in the post's address.
- ### Excerpt
  The article's short summary.
- ### Hashtags
The article's tags, as the post's hashtags.

## Questions about *Wix*

[All questions](https://probeli.ai/faq)

**Why an API key?**

Probeli has no Wix app of its own yet, so it uses a key you create in your account's API Keys Manager, with the Manage Blog permission. The key must belong to the account that owns the site. It is stored encrypted and never shown again; delete it in Wix at any time.

**Does Probeli publish straight away, or as a draft?**

Your choice. By default every article waits in Probeli until an owner or admin clicks Publish to Wix. With Publish automatically, the autopilot's articles that pass the quality check go live on their calendar date; articles marked Needs review always wait for you.

**What happens when I edit an article that is already published?**

Update on Wix updates the same post: no second post is made. A refreshed article is sent by itself only when you publish automatically and the post still holds what Probeli sent.

**Is the cover image sent?**

No. The images inside the article are imported, but the cover isn't uploaded to Wix: add a cover image to the post in Wix if your blog shows one.

**Can every article be published to Wix?**

Almost. An article too long for Wix's converter can't be sent: Probeli says so, and you can copy it into Wix by hand.

**What happens if I take an article back or disconnect?**

Taking an article back reverts its post to draft; nothing is deleted. Disconnecting makes Probeli forget the key: articles already published stay on your site, and the autopilot goes back to saving drafts.
