## Click any score to see *where it came from.*

Each number opens the exact AI answer behind it: where you were ranked, which competitors were named and the sources the engine cited.

A sample AI answer: asked “What's the best website builder for a small business?”, ChatGPT mentions Wix first and Webflow, the example brand, second, both highlighted, and cites four sources; Gemini mentions Webflow first, Google AI Mode only cites Webflow's website, and Perplexity doesn't mention it.

- ### Asked daily
Every active prompt runs on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity each day, so a trend is real movement, not one lucky answer.
- ### Saved as answered
Each answer is stored exactly as the engine gave it. We never write or edit an answer.
- ### Same rules for everyone
Names, aliases and domains are matched the same way for you and every competitor, so comparisons stay fair.

## How answers are collected

Probeli AI asks your prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity through our data provider, DataForSEO. For ChatGPT and Gemini, it's the answer chatgpt.com and gemini.google.com show, with its sources. For Google, it's the AI Mode result, and for Perplexity, an answer from its Sonar model.

Every active prompt is asked on each engine once every 24 hours, at a fixed daily time for the workspace, from the country and in the language of its market. Probeli AI never writes or edits an answer, and every answer shows which engine gave it, when and where it was asked from.

## Visibility

Visibility is the share of AI answers that mention your brand or link to your website. Appear in 59 of 160 answers and your Visibility is 37%. Only direct mentions count toward it.

The cards at the top of the Overview count the date range you pick and the change since the period of the same length before it. Pages that cover a period say which one, and every page and email counts Visibility the same way, so the same answers always give the same number.

## Avg. position

Where your brand first appears among the tracked brands in an answer. #1 means your brand is mentioned first, so lower is better. It's counted in the answers that mention your brand.

## Avg. sentiment

A 0–100 score of how positively the sentences around your brand read: 50 is neutral, 60 and above is positive and 40 and below is negative. It uses the same fixed rules for every brand, not another AI's opinion, so the score is consistent from answer to answer.

## Direct and indirect mentions

A direct mention is an answer that names your brand or links to your website. An indirect mention is an answer that cites another page, like a review, a list or a forum thread, that names you. Probeli AI reads the pages the answers cite to find them; pages it can't read are counted and shown.

Names match your saved brand name and its aliases, and websites match on the full domain. When you change a name or an alias, past answers are analysed again, so past numbers update too.

## How long answers are kept

The full text of an answer is kept for 365 days on Scale and 90 days on the other plans and the free trial. After that only the text goes: metrics, mentions and citations stay for as long as the workspace exists, so charts and history remain complete.

## What isn't tracked

Google AI Overviews, the AI summaries above regular Google results, aren't tracked: for Google, Probeli AI tracks AI Mode. Prompts aren't asked on demand, and an answer is never rewritten after it was collected.

## Questions about *the numbers.*

**How is Visibility calculated?**

Visibility is the share of AI answers that mention your brand or link to your website. If you appear in 59 of 160 answers, your Visibility is 37%.

The cards at the top of the Overview count the answers in the date range you pick, and each change compares them with the period of the same length before it. The date range also sets the charts and tables below them; the engine filter applies to both. Pages that cover a period say which one: Prompts shows the last 30 days, and the weekly email compares the last 7 days with the 7 before.

A mention only through a cited third-party page doesn't count toward Visibility; it's an indirect mention. Every page and email counts Visibility the same way, so the same answers always give the same number.

**How are position and sentiment measured?**

Avg. position is where your brand first appears among the tracked brands in an answer: #1 means your brand is mentioned first, so lower is better.

Avg. sentiment is a 0–100 score of how positively the sentences around your brand read: 50 is neutral, 60 and above is positive and 40 and below is negative.

Both use the same fixed rules for every brand, not another AI's opinion, so the scores are consistent from answer to answer.

**Which country and language are the questions asked in?**

You pick your market when you set up a workspace: English, French, German or Spanish, and the country your customers are in. Probeli AI writes the prompts it suggests in that language and asks every prompt from that country, with that language setting. Perplexity takes only the country, so it answers in the language the prompt is written in.

Most countries are available. If you search for one our data provider doesn't cover yet, Probeli AI says so, and a territory such as Puerto Rico is asked from the country it belongs to.

For a local business you can also name a city: answers are still asked from the country you picked, and the suggested prompts name the city. For a business that sells worldwide, you choose the country answers are asked from. Each answer shows where it was asked from.

Owners and admins can change the market in Settings, and new answers use it from the next run. Older answers keep the market they were asked in, and your prompts stay as written. Workspaces set up before you could pick a market are asked from the United States in English, and their Overview asks an owner or admin to confirm or change that.

The Probeli AI app and its emails are available in English, German, Spanish and French, and dates show in your own time zone.

**What if AI uses a different name for my brand?**

Add aliases, like product names or a former name, and Probeli AI counts them as your brand. Every brand you track, yours and each competitor, can have its own aliases. Probeli AI also learns names on its own when ChatGPT links a different name to your domain.

When you change a brand name or an alias, Probeli AI re-analyzes the stored text of your past answers in the background, so past numbers update too.

**Can I read the full answers?**

Yes. Every answer is saved, and you can open it to read what the engine said, with your tracked brands highlighted, each brand's position and sentiment, the sources it cited and, where the engine reports them, the searches it ran.

The full text is kept for 365 days on Scale and 90 days on the other plans and the free trial. After that only the text goes: your metrics, mentions and citations stay for as long as the workspace exists, so charts and history remain complete.
